Sarah 11th January 2016

I first met Wendy in Witham on one of our school holiday trips to visit Al. She worked in the cake shop and brought us back a huge selection of fancy cakes, I had never seen half of them before! An immediate hit with our family! Wendy truly became part of our family from Day 1 and we shared many fun times and holidays, including Butlins, Easter in the snow in Whitam, walking along the canal in Berko to feed the ducks when the kids were little. We had adventures such as the annual mystery tour in Al's old maestro, including the infamous BIG PIT! Wendy was a great Aunt, and family was everything to her, always spending time with us and playing games! Wendy had a love for trashy novels, pots of tea, a good curry, dodgy wrestlers and even Jimmy Nail! She always made us laugh. Becky and I were privileged to have been Wendy's bridesmaids and had such a fantastic day (I promise Wend to this day, I thought I was smiling in those photos!). She looked so glamourous in her 'going away outfit' and it was so exciting being part of the special day. We have been truly lucky to have Wendy as part of our family. In memory of a loving Aunt, wife and mother who will be dearly missed. Lots of love, Sarah xxx
